I acknowledge that I live and play on Treaty One land, the traditional territory of the Anishinaabe, Cree, Dene, Dakota and Oji-Cree Nations and the homeland of the Métis.

I am a settler on this land and I’m still in process of coming to understand what that means, both in terms of being a suitable caretaker for the land, and what my treaty obligations are. I recognize that my privilege allows me to dip in and out of this conversation. Consider how different that is to a typical landlord relationship.

I commit to moving into better relationship with the original inhabitants of this land over the coming years!
